Lets start with a confession: I’m a pug person.
Yes they snore, yes their flat faces are a bit strange, yes some of them are, well, not ideal beauty pageant contestants. And no, their eyes don’t fall out, no they didn’t run into a wall, and no they are not well represented on the Nobel Laureate list.
Still, bring on some Pug lovin’
I (read: my wife) recently volunteered my services to run a photo booth at a fund raising even for Pug Rescue South Africa in Cape Town. I decided to ignore photo-booth tradition and forgo the whole costume/clown/glasses/pink tutu set-up, and instead tried to bring some dignity and gravitas to these furry four legged clowns.
Who needs props when your subject has this much character and charisma already!
P.S. I can also photograph dogs with noses.
